Q1. Why should we store our back-ups off site with Formsafe?

A1.Taking regular back-ups of your computer data is an essential part of a Disaster Recovery programme. Those back-ups need to be in a separate location to the computer system they are protecting. Formsafe provides a secure, controlled environment where your back-ups are safe, managed and always available.

Q5. Do I really need to take back-ups and send them off-site?
If I store them in a fire safe isn't that just as good?

A5. All companies and organisations should take regular back-ups. Indeed it is the duty of company directors to protect the assets of the company of which archival records are an important part. If your building suffered a major fire or other disaster a fire safe might not be robust enough to protect your tapes. In addition, the authorities may not let you have access to the site for days or even weeks. Following a disaster it is essential to recreate your data as soon as possible to recommence trading at the earliest opportunity.
